Awards Season on the horizon

Summer has officially arrived, so the awards season is upon us. On 6th June the Association of Noise Consultants will present its annual celebration of the best in the field of acoustics.

Manchester's Crowne Plaza Hotel will host the ceremony, with categories including Innovation, Good Acoustic Design and Workplace Acoustics. A number of international sponsors are supporting the event, such as Ecophon, Bruel & Kjaer and Armourcoat Acoustic.

AJA's awards cabinet

Last year, our awards cabinet benefitted from a number of accolades. In particular we were delighted to be recognised for our work on the extraordinary Nur Alem Pavilion at the Kazakhstan Expo 2017.

Other previous awards have included the Gresham's School Britten Building, the Bob Champion Reasearch & Education Building and UEL Stratford Campus Library.

For the ANC Awards 2019 we have been nominated for two of our most outstanding projects.

The acoustic design work we carried out at Fletton Quays was part of an urban regeneration project in Peterborough.  Our brief was to create excellent acoustics within a Grade II listed former engine shed, now used as a office space.

By way of contrast, our second awards nomination is for the magnificent new music building at King's College School, Wimbledon.
