Pete Erskine is one of our Acoustics & Theatre Consultants, with many years experience of audio production. He also plays a key role in managing the sound system at one of Norwich’s largest churches.
Soul Church is a prominent evangelical church. Following a fire in 2006 at a previous site, the church relocated to a warehouse in Mason Road, Norwich where they welcome a large congregation.
More recently, planning permission has been granted for a magnificent new building, designed by architects Feilden + Mawson and with acoustic planning by AJA. Meanwhile, the church continues to be famous for staging an extraordinary Christmas show every December entitled The Wonder.
With a huge lineup of singers, dancers, lavish costumes and high production values, the show draws large crowds every year. The 2018 production ran to 11 performances, with a total audience of over 5,000.
Pete’s role in the production is a vital element in the show’s success. It’s an activity outside the office which takes up many hours, but as Pete says “I love the challenge and it’s such a pleasure to bring something special to so many people every Christmas”.
