Pete Erskine
SENIOR CONSULTANT
Pete studied Audio and Music Technology at Anglia Ruskin University, graduating with an upper second-class BSc (Hons) degree.
After graduation, he became a freelance live sound engineer and technician working in many different styles, ranging from theatre and music through to large corporate events and conferences.
Since joining AJA in 2018, Pete has specialised in building acoustics, working on the acoustic design of a variety of building types, including schools, health centres and offices. His recent and current projects include the new prep school and boarding block at Wymondham College, a large project at the Alconbury Weald Education Campus and the new Priscilla Bacon Hospice. He was also project manager for the Dragon School music department development, including AV and recording studios. Pete is qualified to consult on schemes striving to achieve BREEAM credits and has experience in many building types, including the offices at Unity Campus in Cambridgeshire and Parkside, University of Essex.
Pete is also one of our in-house experts in environmental noise modelling using CadnaA, applying this to medium- and large-scale residential and commercial projects. This and his expertise in live sound has made him the obvious candidate to develop noise models and noise management strategies for music festivals in Kings Lynn and Lowestoft.
In 2021 Pete became a full Member of the Institute of Acoustics, having been awarded the diploma with merit.
