SENIOR ACOUSTICS CONSULTANT
Mat Tuora Mat graduated from Southampton Solent University in 2014 with a First Class Honours degree in Music Studio Technology. In addition to the core modules, Mat undertook the Institute of Acoustics Certificate of Competence in Environmental Noise in his final year.
Mat joined Adrian James Acoustics in July of 2014. During his time at AJA Mat has furthered his education by undertaking the IOA Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control, which he completed in 2016. During this time he was also involved with the acoustic modelling for a refurbishment of St George’s Hall in Liverpool, a recording studio for the Norwich School, a new visitor centre at the Hearing Dogs for Deaf People and a large number of developments in the education and residential sectors.
In April 2018, Mat attended a training course hosted by Bond Solon on ‘Excellence in Written Evidence’, and he has subsequently become a valuable member of AJA’s Expert Witness team.
Mat became a Senior Consultant in June 2019 and is currently leading the acoustic design for several prestigious and challenging projects including the Dyson STEAM Building at Greshams School, the redevelopment of a commercial and residential building at Lincoln College Oxford and a new Engineering Centre for the University of East Anglia.
He is a Member of the Institute of Acoustics and an accredited sound insulation tester.
