As pandemic restrictions have eased, we have noticed two significant trends. On the one hand there has been an increased demand for better acoustic treatment in restaurants, particularly new fit-outs.
At the same time, we are offering more advice about acoustics in prestige residences – both new-build and refurbishments. Increasingly, new owners appreciate that acoustics are an essential part of an upgrade.
STANDARDS
We have many years of experience in bringing the best acoustic standards into high-quality homes. Current and past projects include properties in London and the Middle East.
Cinema and games rooms may feature in the design brief, along with other acoustic challenges such as marble or wooden floors. A few years ago we worked on a royal palace where unforeseen noise from a kitchen needed to be isolated from adjacent rooms. With creative thinking, we managed to resolve the problem by isolating a refrigeration system.
OCTAGON PARK
During the pandemic, we have been working on a remarkable residential development just a stone’s throw from our office. Once completed, Church Field Octagon Park will boast some of the most advanced private Passivhaus Plus residences in East Anglia.

RESTAURANTS
Several London restaurants have commissioned us to create an acoustic environment in keeping with the eating experience. We appreciate that each location is unique, so we provide bespoke solutions to help create the right atmosphere.
Previous projects have ranged from the Pizza Express at The Forum Norwich to the cafe at the Tower of London Armouries.
