We are pleased to announce our friends at Ecophon UK recently released an excellent new CPD resource. Created by Ecophon’s Concept Developer for Education Shane Cryer, it’s an ideal solution for architects and other professionals who need to keep up with their CPD whilst working from home.

The 25-minutes online video seminar is entitled “Designing for SEN” and covers acoustic standards for Special Educational Needs (SEN) teaching. It helps to increase the understanding of good acoustics and how they fundamentally benefit SEN pupils.
The video was made in consultation with the Director of Adrian James Acoustics, Adrian James and Associate Ian Rees who is a Member of both the Institute of Acoustics and Institute of Theatre Consultants. Crucially, it is fully endorsed by RIBA as part of the CPD training process.
As Shane Cryer explains, “At Ecophon we understand “zoom fatigue”. Architects can obtain CPD points with our shorter, on-demand seminar. There is a multiple choice quiz at the end (5 random questions from 12 provided) which they must pass to get their certificate. I believe ours is the first shortened video version to go live”.
