Our work with some local dinosaurs has led to a monster-sized award.
Located near Norwich, the popular Roarr! dinosaur adventure park is a much-loved local attraction.

Expansion
Now the park’s expansion plans have resulted in a prestigious award from the Association of Noise Consultants. AJA received the “Sports and Leisure Award” for outstanding work in acoustic design and noise mitigation (sponsored by Cirrus Research).

Tourist attraction
We were called in at an early stage of the dinosaur park’s expansion plan in order to address the challenges posed for this popular tourist attraction. Potential noise issues include an increased number of visitors and rides, a new interactive area and even an artificial volcano.
Community-focused
Our input included analysis and assessment of the issues and expert advice on noise management. Over a period three years, we attended meetings, including representation of our findings to the Council’s Planning Committee. We also worked closely with local residents – something which the Awards panel described as “a smart and community-focused strategy”.
The panel of 35 Awards judges also praised “the technical thoughtfulness as well as the team’s ability to build consensus”. The AJA team was led by Founder Adrian James.

Green light
With Roarr! receiving the green light for its plans, other exciting developments are ongoing. We like to think that our award-winning advice will provide the dinosaurs with many more years to enjoy their Norfolk home.
