Recently, we were flying the flag for careers in acoustics.

Hundreds of students
Hundreds of students from across Norfolk converged on the Dyson Building at Gresham’s School, where over 40 companies set up their exhibition stands. The focus was on STEM subjects, and we had the chance to explain the importance of scientific study and acoustics.
Swap-a-mathon
One gadget which proved particularly popular was the Swap-a-mathon. Built by Managing Director Andy Thompson, this device demonstrates how sound is transmitted. When talking into one side, the sound is heard in the opposite ear – much to the amusement of the wearer.

Insight
With plenty of enthusiastic responses, we wish all the students the very best in their career choices – especially any future acousticians.
