For the third year running, Adrian James Acoustics has made awards to four young musicians.
The AJA Scholarship initiative was launched in 2022 to encourage excellence and commitment. Promising instrumentalists from across Norfolk can apply for financial support. An advisory panel from Norfolk County Youth Orchestra chooses the award winners alongside Guildhall Young Artists Norwich, which provides coaching from outstanding tutors.

The latest young musicians to be honoured were presented with their awards at a concert in St Peter Mancroft Church, Norwich on 5 April 2024.
This year two cellists were honoured, along with a double bass player and an oboist.

To be in the running for a scholarship in 2024, instrumentalists from across Norfolk made a video recording. The winners were chosen by a panel, independent of AJA’s involvement.
We were delighted to encourage young musicians once again and Andy Thompson – AJA Associate & Operations Manager – was at the concert to present certificates.
We wish all the NCYO musicians the very best for the next steps in their musical pursuits.
