This summer has seen the arrival of a new face at AJA.
Julez Redding recently started in the role of Trainee Acoustics Consultant. He is already very much part of the team.

As a child, Julez showed a keen interest in sound, taking up the drums at the age of eight. Following three years living in India, he returned to the UK, where as a teenager he learned how to use a mixing desk. He began to record friends and local bands in bedrooms, garages and parks.
University of Surrey
In 2010, he enrolled on the internationally-recognised Tonmeister course at the University of Surrey. Here Julez discovered the world of film audio.
Film audio
After graduation, he worked in Soho restoring the audio on classic films. He also helped translate major film and TV releases for worldwide distribution into many languages, including French, Bulgarian and Hindi.
Editing
A move to Norwich in 2017 coincided with starting a family, and Julez worked as an audio editor and mixer for podcasts, films and video. During the pandemic, he also worked as a cycle courier for a zero-emissions delivery company.
Now that he is in a full-time position at Adrian James Acoustics, Julez says: “I am looking forward to helping create equitable, sustainable environments for people to live, work and learn”.
